This 160x240cm fine braided jute rug is a sleek, low-profile option crafted for durability and everyday use. Ethical Production

All of our jute rugs are woven in a workshop in India that complies with ILO conventions, offers fair wages and working conditions, and follows key UN and human rights standards.

When Do I Need Underlay?

We recommend underlay if your rug is lightweight or placed on a hard surface such as wood, tile or laminate. Underlay prevents slipping and keeps the rug in place. It also adds cushioning underfoot and can extend the life of the rug by reducing friction and movement.

Underlay provides additional noise-reduction and is especially useful for our thin braided styles.

Our thick braided jute rugs are heavy and may not require underlay.

Our fine braided jute rug has a lighter weight and benefits from underlay, especially on smooth flooring.

Maintaining and Caring for Your Fine Braided Jute Rug

This fine braided jute rug is easy to care for. It should be vacuumed regularly using a low-suction setting and stains should be blotted immediately. Do not rub the fibres. If loose strands appear, trim them carefully or tuck them back in. Jute rugs are made from plant fibres and are prone to staining and fading if not looked after properly.

Here are some care recommendations:

• Vacuum on a low suction setting to avoid damaging the fibres
• Spot clean spills immediately with a clean, damp cloth
• Avoid high humidity areas to prevent weakening the fibres
• Rotate your rug every few months to ensure even wear

In-stock jute rugs are dispatched within 5 working days. Worldwide delivery is available. Please add the rug to your basket and request a shipping quote before completing your purchase. You’ll receive a tracking number once your rug is shipped.

If you’re not satisfied, you can return your item within 2 days of receipt for a full refund, excluding postage costs both ways.

Please note: bespoke jute rugs are non-refundable as they are made to order based on your requirements.
