Description
Hemp Rug Natural Handwoven Large Area Rug
This is a vintage handwoven hemp rug in natural warm colour palette.
I has a hardwearing durable texture and feels slightly rough (more rough than our jute rugs which are soft to touch.
It has a large size of 196x290cm and is in very good condition.

Maintaining and caring for your carpet
This hemp rug is hardwearing and durable and has a plain soft warm golden colour. It is low in maintenance and both sides are woven in the same way so it is also reversible.
It is best to vacuum your jute rug on a lower setting and make sure you also do the reverse now and then as just as much dust accumulates there, as on the front.
Stain treatment
The quicker you deal with spills, the less chance there is of it staining.
Hemp is a natural material and like all natural fibres, can be sensitive to staining. Water marks however are fine and settle relatively quickly (based on my own experience with my kitchen jute rug) but can leave a light mark.
Don’t use any bleach or chemical treatments as they might take the stain out, but leave a lighter stain instead. If you need advice on this, pleased get in touch.
