This premium flatwoven rug represents a sophisticated evolution of traditional Turkish weaving. By mixing structural techniques during the hand-looming process, our artisans create a surface that is rich with subtle textual contrasts.

The intentional colour palette uses a dominant light blue ground to soften a room, whilst the geometric accents in ochre and olive green provide structural points of interest that pair beautifully with natural timber, steel or stone elements. Because it is an authentic kilim, the warp and weft strands are tightly interwoven without a pile, producing a lightweight, highly stable rug that looks identical from either side.

Care, Maintenance and Longevity

• Routine Vacuuming: Vacuum regularly on a low-suction setting without a rotating beater bar. Flip the rug and vacuum the reverse side every few months to prevent dust build-up.
• Outdoor Refreshing: Every few months, give the rug a firm shake outdoors to release trapped dust and revive the natural wool fibres.
• Spill Response: Treat spills straight away to avoid staining. Dilute liquid spills with a splash of clean water, then blot firmly from the outside edges inward using a clean, dry paper towel. Never rub the yarn, as this can distort the wool structure. Allow the rug to dry fully.

Underlay Recommendation: While this kilim possesses excellent weight and structure, we highly recommend layering it over a premium non-slip underlay. A quality underlay secures the rug firmly on smooth stone or wood floors.
