This midcentury berber rug was made by Berber women from the Beni Ouarain tribe. Rug making is traditionally a female craft within Berber communities, with skills passed down through generations. The knotting process is learned through observation and practice and can take weeks or months depending on the size and design.

Maintaining and Caring for Your Rug
