How They Are Made
These jute rugs are handwoven in India in a workshop that follows ILO labour standards, ensuring fair wages and ethical working conditions.
Material and Sustainability
Each Emily’s House rug is made from vegetable fibres extracted from the jute plant stem. Jute is biodegradable, renewable, and grown with minimal water and no pesticides, making small jute rugs an environmentally sound choice.
When to Use Underlay
Our semi-thick braided jute rugs are heavy and typically stay in place. However, underlay for small jute rugs may be helpful on hard flooring or if additional cushioning is desired.
Care Instructions
- Vacuum with low suction to protect fibres
- Blot spills immediately with a clean, damp cloth
- Avoid humid areas to prevent fibre breakdown
- Rotate the rugs to spread wear
Delivery and Returns
Small jute rugs in stock are dispatched within five working days and include tracking. International shipping is available. Returns are accepted within two days of delivery, excluding postage. Custom rugs are non-refundable.
