Bright pink Berber runner
This Moroccan Berber runner in bright pink with simple geometric design is handwoven in the area of Boujaad.
The area of Boujaad is known for their free form rugs and daring use of colours. Weavers here are less traditional than for example in the High or Middle Atlas Mountains, where weavers tend to be more traditional.
Berber rugs are knows for their simple designs, usually lozenges, or a free flow geometric design. Rugs were made for domestic use and as such a simple design was often preferred instead of more elaborate designs.
In this case a colourful geometric design has been used in mixed non animal materials on a background of bright pink shades in wool.

Maintaining and caring for your rug
