Thick Braided Jute Rug Featured in Romo’s Latest Photoshoot

Thick Braided Jute Rug Featured in Romo’s  Latest Photoshoot

Our thick braided jute rug was recently featured in a beautifully styled Romo photoshoot, paired with the newly released Aubin fabric collection. This shoot highlighted both design and craftsmanship, and we were pleased to see our piece complement Romo’s distinctive fabrics so well.
The purpose of the Romo photoshoot was not just to present products, but to show how materials, tones, and textures interact in real interiors. Our rug became a grounding element throughout the styling, offering texture, warmth, and a neutral base.

Rug details and key features

The thick braided jute rug used in the Romo photoshoot is:

  • Made from 100% natural jute
  • Hand-braided with a chunky 1cm thick weave.
  • Finished with elegant raised borders for added structure
  • Durable and long-lasting
  • Designed to suit a wide variety of spaces and styles

Its construction makes it suitable for high-traffic areas, while the soft blond tone offers a gentle, organic look that works well in both traditional and modern interiors.

Neutral tones that work with Romo’s Aubin collection

The rug’s soft, sandy blond shade provides a calm and versatile base. In the Romo photoshoot, it was styled with prints from the Aubin collection, which draws inspiration from traditional block printing techniques found across India and Asia.

This pairing worked particularly well because:

  • The rug’s texture adds depth against the finer detail of the Aubin prints
  • Natural tones blend seamlessly with the muted greens, soft blues, and pale pinks in the fabric range
  • The layered effect creates a balanced, calming scheme suitable for varied design styles

Colour harmony and visual balance

One of the key takeaways from the Romo photoshoot was how successfully the colours were combined. Rather than competing, the tones worked together to create a unified, considered space.

The rug’s blond base acts as a soft anchor, allowing the more expressive colours of the Aubin collection to shine without overwhelming the scene. It’s a reminder that strong interior design often relies on neutral layers to create space for pattern and personality.

Texture and comfort underfoot

In addition to being visually adaptable, the rug brings a warm and inviting texture to the floor. This was clearly demonstrated in the Romo photoshoot, where the rug served both a functional and decorative purpose.

Benefits of the thick braided jute rug include:

  • Comfortable underfoot for everyday use
  • Strong enough for busy living areas
  • Works with underfloor heating
  • Adds texture to rooms with minimal furnishings
  • Complements both soft textiles and bold design pieces

Whether it’s placed beneath a coffee table, anchoring a seating area, or softening the look of a bedroom, this rug adds quiet impact.

Thoughtfully styled for layered interiors

What stood out in the Romo photoshoot was the overall styling approach. Rather than focusing on one element, the shoot layered colour, texture, and pattern in a way that felt natural and lived-in.

Our rug played a subtle but important role because it:

  • Grounded the space visually
  • Introduced tactile variety
  • Created contrast with finer patterns
  • Softened and balanced the overall look

This kind of styling is particularly effective in real homes, where pieces need to look good but also serve a purpose.

A versatile piece for design-conscious homes

As featured in the Romo photoshoot, our thick braided jute rug is a smart choice for anyone wanting to introduce natural materials and lasting style into their home.

Its advantages include:

  • Neutral colour palette that suits many schemes
  • Durable construction ideal for everyday life
  • Natural fibres for a more sustainable approach
  • Style flexibility, from minimalist to eclectic settings

This is more than just a background piece. It’s a foundation that brings everything together, quietly supporting the bolder elements of your space.
