Rugs you don’t see everywhere!
Handwoven rugs that are timeless, sophisticated, not trend-led, just interesting and beautiful!
Essentially I have a tribal taste with Midcentury rugs collected from various regions to create an eclectic and multicultural aesthetic! Every rug is handwoven and so much more than just a floor covering; it is a work of art that tells a story of the cultural and artistic heritage of its maker.
One of the most significant attributes of a tribal handwoven rugs is its uniqueness. The designs, pattern and colour choices are deeply rooted in the weaver’s cultural background, yet every weaver has the freedom to invent the rug while weaving and be the artist of her own creation (instead of executing a drawing or cartoon). This makes every rug into a profoundly personalised form of self-expression and that no two rugs are ever alike
Besides the beautiful Midcentury Beni Ourain rugs, Berber rugs and nomadic kilims I also offer a bespoke service because when it comes to rugs, size matters! Here the emphasis is on creating handwoven rugs with a rich texture, a sense of playfulness and whimsy, dipped in serious cool colours!
Additionally, our braided jute rugs are a popular choice and for good reason! They are incredibly diverse and a natural way to add warmth and texture to a room! They don’t only look beautiful but also have noise-reduction properties and are eco-friendly, as jute is a renewable resource that requires little water and no pesticides to grow. Our jute rugs come in various thicknesses and sizes and can also be made-to-order with a 3 month lead time.
