Made to Order Rugs
All rugs are handwoven by artisan weavers according to your specific requirements, emphasising craftsmanship, rich textures and cool colours!
Our jute rugs are a popular choice for many homeowners and for good reason! Made from natural plant fibres that are native to India and Bangladesh, these jute rugs are handwoven with a thick braided weave and a soft texture. What’s more, they look beautiful, have noise-reduction properties and are a sustainable choice for environmentally-conscious consumers as jute is a renewable resource that requires little water and no pesticides to grow.
Kilim and short-pile rugs are durable and can withstand heavy foot traffic. This makes them a great option for hallways, entryways, dining areas and other areas of the home that receive a lot of use. They come in a range of geometric designs, from checkerboard to herringbone motifs, and are all woven with hand-dyed wool. This gives the rugs a unique appearance that machine-dyed wool cannot replicate, achieving different levels of colour saturation to create a more sophisticated and rich texture.
The Beni Ouarain rug is known for its minimalistic aesthetic and iconic abstract design. Our bespoke Beni rugs are handwoven by artisan weavers in Morocco and come with a soft pile made from natural wool. Its design can vary from a single or double diamond design in neutral colours such as black, grey or brown on a plain white wool background.
Our plain rugs or solid-coloured rugs come in a range of really cool colours and are handwoven with a luxurious super soft texture. They provide coziness and warmth to any room without the commitment to lots of pattern. Plain rugs are a great foundation, allowing versatility and room to add your own unique and personal style.

Bespoke Jute Rugs
Our jute rugs are incredibly diverse and a natural way to add warmth and texture to any space. They are handwoven with a thick braided natural weave and 2 or 4 raised borders. The weave is the same on both sides so this makes every rug reversible too. They have a soft texture and a thickness of 1 cm with up to 1.5cm on the borders (think about doors opening and closing).
Made from the fibres of the jute plant, which is primarily grown in India and Bangladesh, these rugs don’t only look beautiful but also have insulating and noise-reduction properties. What’s more, they are eco-friendly, as jute is a renewable resource that requires little water and no pesticides to grow, so a sustainable choice for environmentally-conscious consumers.

Bespoke Flatweaves
Our kilims are a popular choice for kitchen and other high-traffic areas as they are strong and resistant to wear and tear. Their flat woven texture is also easy for chairs to slide in and out without catching.
Our flat-weaves come in a range of geometric designs from minimal long vertical stripes to a herringbone motif. All kilims are made with hand-dyed wool to make it stand out from mass-produced yarns, achieving different levels of colour saturation to create a more sophisticated and rich texture.

Bespoke Short Pile Rugs
Our bespoke short-pile rugs are handmade with … a short low pile! Short-pile rugs are durable and can withstand heavy foot traffic. This makes them a good option for hallways, entryways, dining areas and other areas of the home that receive a lot of use. Additionally, shot-pile rugs are easy to clean and maintain.
Our short-pile rugs are woven with hand-dyed wool, using natural or synthetic dyes to create a unique appearance that machine-dyed wool cannot replicate. The process involves immersing the wool into a dye bath, achieving different levels of colour saturation resulting in a more sophisticated and rich texture.
Our simple checkerboard design comes in brown and blue and can be made with a 3 month lead time. Please get in touch for info or a quote.
Plain Rugs
Our plain rugs come in a range of cool colours and are handwoven with a luxurious super soft texture. A plain rug or solid-coloured rug has several advantages. They are a great way to add texture and colour to a room, without the commitment to lots of pattern. They provide a neutral and grounding foundation that allows other designs elements, such as furniture and artwork to stand out and become more of a focal point in the room. A plain rug can also help to make a room feel more spacious, especially if it is a light colour. It can create a calming and relaxing atmosphere, which is ideal for bedrooms, living rooms, and other spaces where you want to unwind and feel comfortable.
Overall, our plain rugs are an excellent choice for those seeking a sophisticated texture and calming base, allowing versatility and room to add your own unique and personal style. Did I mention they come in really cool colours? For inspiration, please click here, I personally love the Taupe grey.
Selecting the right style
Rugs help to set the tone of a room so it is important you decide on the feeling that you are trying to achieve. Whether the mood is luxurious, elegant, casual, contemporary or traditional, your rug will serve to enhance this feeling.
I personally love geometric designs as they are pleasing to the eye and help instil a sense of calm and order (and I love a sense of order, it’s the foundation for play!). Our kilims and low-pile rugs will do just that with their simple striped, checkerboard or herringbone design. They are woven with hand-dyed wool, giving them various levels of colour saturation to create a more sophisticated and rich texture.
For a minimalistic look, our bespoke plain rugs and Moroccan Beni Ouarain rugs provide a neutral foundation adding versatility and a cozy, textural element to any room.

Selecting the size:
When it comes to selecting the size of the rug, each room is different, however here are some guidelines that are worth keeping in mind!
Sitting room: The front legs of the sofa or armchairs should sit on the rug and there should be an overhang of at least 15cm at the sides.
Bedroom: The most popular options are to either sit a large rug underneath the whole bed, bearing in mind a large proportion will be covered, or to opt for a runner on one or both sides of the bed. In either case, there should be a 20cm gap between the side tables and the edge of the rug, still ensuring that there is some rug to land on when getting out of bed. As a rule of thumb, you should allow an overhang of at least 45cm at the base and sides. Personally I prefer it slightly more generous, with an overhang of about 60cm to 85cm, depending on the size of the room and furnitures.
Dining room: Low-pile rugs such as flatweaves and hand-knotted pieces with a short pile are best here so chairs can slide in and out without catching. The rug should also be large enough so that the chairs do not fall off the edge when pulled out.
A rule of thumb the chairs should sit on the rug with an overhang of about 20cm. Alternatively, measure the dining table and add approximately 120cm-150cm to the length and/or width, depending on the shape of the table and layout of the room.
